Guided Motorcycle Expedition Tibet

In 2011 we organised our first Tibet Motorcycle Expedition on Royal Enfield motorbikes. Due to the horrible earthquake in Nepal, the road from Kathmandu to Tibet was closed for many years. It is open again and the next Reuthers Tibet expeditions are on the way. Tibet is a historical and very special Country in Central Asia with its Tibetan Plateau. Being the traditional homeland of the Tibetan people as well as other ethnic groups, it is the highest region on earth with an average elevation of 4,900 meters (16,000 feet). It houses the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, which is 8,848 meters above sea level. Religion is very important to the Tibetans and has a strong influence over all aspects of their lives. The Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso) grew up in the Potala Palace in Lhasa, but had to emigrate due to political circumstances. On your Guided motorcycle tour of Tibet you will learn more about this unique country, the Himalaya mountains and of course the Buddism religion by visiting several monasteries...
