Culture Castles

On this Guided motorcycle tour you will get to know the culture (and) castles of Nuremberg, Dresden, Prague as well as the Veste of the Duchy of Coburg, which gained worldwide importance through the marriage of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to Queen Victoria. A Harley-Davidson ride in the Saxon and Bohemian Ore Mountains with the historical Carlsbad completes the tour. The highlight of this round trip is, of course, Prague, the city on the Vltava with its innumerable bridges, the Prague castle and the historic old town.

arrow down Day 1: Nuremberg (D)

Nuremberg

Welcome to Nuremberg! After the individual arrivals and the transfer from the airport to the hotel we will start off with a welcome drink and dinner and set the mood for our shared motorcycle round trip. Anyone participating in the "Best of Nuremberg" day tour will arrive one day earlier.

arrow down Day 2: Nuremberg (D) > Coburg (D)

Veste Coburg

After collecting our Harley-Davidson motorycles from the rental office, we cruise the "Franconian Switzerland" and arrive in Coburg. This former residence was heavily influenced by the Dukes of the former Duchy of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Their marriage policy established links to almost all European royal houses - above all: The marriage between Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Of course we will visit the Veste Coburg.

Moedlareuth, Little Berlin

Today we are cruising in Frankonia and the Czech Republic to Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary), situated in western Bohemia, with its numerous thermal springs. The highlight on our way will be a sightseeing tour in Mödlareuth, also known as "Little Berlin". Like in the city of Berlin, this little village was divided by a wall in West and East Germany...

Augustusburg Castle

Our tour in the Saxon and Bohemian Ore Mountains leads us first to the Jagdschloss Kamersgruen (Zamek Luzec), a hunting lodge built in the 14th century at the behest of the Bohemian King Charles IV. We countinue with a highlight for motorcycle fans: Visiting Augustusburg Castle, home of the biggest motorcycle museum in Europe. In the evening a delicous dinner is awaiting us in Dresden, capital of Saxonia.

Frauenkirche, Dresden

Dresden is situated in a valley on the River Elbe, near the border with the Czech Republic. The city was known as the Jewel Box, because of its baroque and rococo city centre. To learn more, we will have a City Tour also including the world famous Frauenkirche, which was destroyed in World War II and rebuilt from 1994 to 2005.

German Watch Museum in Glashütte

From Dresden we continue the ride and visit the unique German Watch Museum Glashütte. Here we are led through a series of chronologically arranged "Historical Rooms" that present an effective overview of developments in watchmaking technology. After we learned all about "The Fascination of Time - Bringing Time to Life" we are riding straight to Prague.

Prague

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic and for all who booked in advance there is an optional "Best Of Prague" sightseeing tour including the historic old town.

We leave Prague and head back to Nuremberg to drop off the Harley-Davidson rental motorcycles and having our traditional Farewell Dinner.
