Self Drive Motorcycle Tour
Nature lovers and adventurers can explore the National Parks of the USA in the southwest of the country on this 6-day Self Drive motorcycle tour riding a Harley-Davidson. The motorcycle tour begins and ends in the glittering city of Las Vegas in Nevada. You will conquer the straight endless highways that cut through the magnificent backdrop of the American desert. Visit Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon and Monument Valley which is famous for its rock formations of bright red stone. Spend a night in the Navajo reservation and gain insight view of the life of the Native American. Through the Petrified Forest in Arizona and the Grand Canyon you head back to Las Vegas where your Self Drive motorcycle tour through the National Parks in the United States ends.
The Route:
Day 1: Las Vegas
Welcome to Las Vegas.
Day 2: Las Vegas > Page
After collecting your Harley-Davidson motorycle from the rental office you start your motorcycle tour to the Zion National Park and, if you wish, to the Bryce Canyon. Your overnight stay is in Page close to the Arizona - Utah border.
Day 3: Page > Chinle
Another two BIG National Parks highlights: The Monument Valley and the Canyon de Chelly with its Spider Rock - both truly unforgettable experiences on this motorcycle tour. You spend the night in the Navajo Reservation, in Chinle.
Day 4: Chinle > Flagstaff
From Chinle, your first leg of the day's journey takes you through the spectacular Petrified Forest National Park and the Painted Desert. Moving on west, you stop for lunch in Holbrook at Joe's and Aggie's and depart to Winslow for the song "Standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona". You close the day in Flagstaff with a visit to The Museum Club (nicknamed "The Zoo"), the most popular dance club between Oklahoma City and Los Angeles.
Day 5: Flagstaff > Seligman
First thing in the morning you arrive at the amazing Grand Canyon. One of the highlights might be a helicopter flight over the canyon. You continue your trip through Williams toward the Californian border. Upon your arrival in Seligman you pay a visit to the founder of the Historic Route 66 Association, Angel Delgadillo, which is located in the Route 66 Visitor Center.You might end up in his barber chair for a close-up shave. You spend the night in a typical Route 66 motel, experiencing the basics!
Day 6: Seligman > Las Vegas
After breakfast at Westside Lilo's Cafe, an original Route 66 restaurant, you travel via Kingman back to Las Vegas, where you return your Harley-Davidson motorcycle to the rental office.
