Friday, Day 1
Edinburgh
We meet at our hotel in Edinburgh around noon for a sightseeing tour of famous Edinburgh Castle and in the evening meet for a Welcome Drink and Dinner.
Participants of the 12 Days Guided Tour Version start two days earlier in London.
Saturday, Day 2
Edinburgh - Fort William
In the morning we visit Sterling Castle with the grave of Rob Roy, then Glen Orchy and Glen Coe and continue to Fort William, on our way visiting Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Great Britain.
Sunday, Day 3
Fort William - Portree
Following the Road to the Isles we pass the Glenfinnan Monument, cross to the Isle of Skye by ferry and explore the island by motorcycle.
Monday, Day 4
Portree - Ullapool
We leave the Island, crossing the new bridge near Kyle of Lochalsh, visit the famous Eilean Donan Castle, where the first part of "Highlander" was made, and arrive in Ullapool, the "Gateway to the Scottish Wilderness".
Tuesday, Day 5
Ullapool - Tongue
Today we visit the Balnakeil Craft Village, an old military settlement, now colonized by artists. Cruising along the northern shore we reach Tongue.
Wednesday, Day 6
Tongue - Inverness
Highlights on our way south are Culloden Moor, where the last tragic battle between the Highland Clans and the English took place. Today we will also have a photograph stop at Urquhart Castle and of course at Loch Ness - maybe "Nessie" will join us...
Thursday, Day 7
Inverness - Craigellachie
A day devoted to Scotch Whisky, including a visit in an original distillery on the famous Whisky Trail.
Friday, Day 8
Craigellachie - Edinburgh
Last day of the Scotland tour. We pass Balmoral Castle, summer residence of Queen Elizabeth II. In the evening we celebrate with one of our traditional Farewell-Dinners. Sometimes saying goodbye is the "beginning of a wonderful friendship", so let’s meet again on one of our tours in New Zealand, Australia, USA, South Africa or Europe.
Participants of the 12 Days Guided Tour version ride back in two days to London on the next morning.
